At HSBC Premier we offer an incredible range of services not only to HSBC Premier Account holders, but also to their family members, leveraging the global reach of HSBC to help support the lifestyles that our customers and their families desire.

Child Account and Family Account

Child Account and Family Account

Family members of HSBC Premier Account holders can experience the value of being the part of HSBC global network. Key benefits include individual accounts for their family members, Global Safety Net and Family Financial Planning. The same dedicated Relationship Manager will be assigned to look after their accounts for financial planning, international services and local banking needs. For Child / Family Account, no Below Balance Fee will be charged regardless of their account balance. Two account types are available based on age and other conditions.

HSBC Premier Child Account

This is an account where the children of HSBC Premier customers can benefit by having their own bank account to learn more about money management. This account is accessible via Internet Banking and can be used as an effective educational tool in teaching children the value of money from early stage.
*Limited to children aged 6 to 19 (inclusive). Certain restrictions apply to our available services.

HSBC Premier Family Account

This is an account where the family members of HSBC Premier customers can enjoy our international recognition as an HSBC Premier customer, such as worldwide account opening assistance, credit card privileges and investment expertise through the same dedicated Relationship Manager.
*Limited to spouses and children aged from 20 to 25 (inclusive).

Global Safety Net

Travelling abroad can prove stressful when you encounter different customs, cultures and languages. At HSBC Premier, we make use of our global network of businesses in over 40 countries and territories around the world to bring you peace of mind knowing that you can expect the same service whether at home or abroad. When you establish a Child Account or a Family Account, and should you require emergency services while traveling abroad, such as in the case of lost cards, you or your family members can reach the HSBC Premier Call Centre in Japan (24 hours/365 days). Simply call 1-908-7736437 (PREMIER), where operators are always available to immediately assist you.
If you have a child who is planning to study abroad and your child has a Child Account or a Family Account in Japan, we can provide application forms for HSBC overseas accounts where he or she will be studying*.

*A certain period of time is required to complete the Procedure. Please note, for those who do not have Child / Family Account, 24,000 yen will be charged for forwarding documents of overseas account opening.
*If your family members do not have a Family Account or a Child Account in Japan, he/she needs to have a separate proxy ATM Card of the HSBC Premier customer to receive emergency services.

Family Financial Planning

Family financial planning entails the development and proposal of a financial plan that is tailored to your family's specific needs. Each of your life stages has its own financial requirements of varying scale, whether it is saving to purchase a car, a home, or securing money for education such as, funding the higher education or study overseas. This service offers the benefits available from the use of our proprietary HSBC WealthMaster, a comprehensive wealth-management tool developed for HSBC Premier customers. Your Relationship Manager will provide individual consultations with you and family members to better understand personal needs and goals. After assessing your personal circumstances, life goals and investment risk tolerance, your Relationship Manager will work with you to develop a financial plan that is tailored to meet the aspirations and financial objectives of you and your family.

HSBC Premier Family Services are offered to HSBC Premier Account holders who qualify for the requirement shown below.

HSBC Premier Japan Eligibility Requirement
To qualify for HSBC Premier, you need to maintain a Monthly Average Balance with HSBC Premier in Japan of 10 million yen or equivalent in combined deposits / investments /
insurance. In principle, if the Monthly Average Balance requirements are not met in the previous month, a Monthly Below Balance Fee of 5,000 yen inclusive of tax will be charged and services offerings may be restricted.

*Deposits in HSBC are not covered by Deposit Insurance.
*HSBC Premier offers services in Japan through The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, which is the founding member of the HSBC Group, headquartered in London UK.
