1 The support service for opening an overseas HSBC Premier account only provides to customers who have an HSBC Premier account in Japan and which has met our local Premier qualification criteria.

Important Notes:
The counterpart to the contract concerning the overseas HSBC Premier account is not The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation's Japan Branch (the "Intermediary Bank") but the Principal Foreign Bank of the HSBC Group in each country.
Decision of accepting, and/or opening an overseas HSBC Premier account, will be subject to the local HSBC office, based on the local regulations and Terms & Conditions. Please note the receipt of your overseas account opening request by HSBC Premier Japan / The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation's Japan Branch does NOT guarantee the overseas HSBC Premier account will be opened.
After the overseas HSBC Premier account is opened, customer will be required to communicate directly with the Principal Foreign Bank of the HSBC Group in that particular country. The communications might be conducted in English, or the local language in that particular country. Please note staff in HSBC Premier Japan will not be able to assist on transactions initiated from, or maintenance requests that are arise from, the overseas HSBC Premier account.
The overseas HSBC Premier account is for foreign currency deposit, which carries a foreign currency exchange fluctuation risk. Due to possible fluctuations, the JPY equivalent amount received in a foreign currency could be smaller than the original JPY equivalent amount at the time of foreign currency contract (i.e. there is a risk of principal loss on a JPY basis).
Please read the "Pre-account Opening Risk Explanation Form" carefully. These documents can also be obtained through the HSBC Premier Centres in Japan.
Transactions initiated from the overseas HSBC Premier account will be subject to local regulations, terms and conditions. Some countries such as China have strict regulations on fund transfers to overseas. Please ensure you read and understand the corresponding local regulations, terms and conditions before placing an overseas transfer instruction.
