HSBC Premier has launched a special campaign that offers you a chance to win gifts such as round-trip air tickets from Tokyo to Shanghai, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. Winners will be selected from customers who deposit or purchase HSBC Premier's China-related products including Chinese Yuan (CNY) Deposits in Japan with new money. Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your options and invest in the fast-growing Chinese economy.

Campaign period	1 March to 28 April 2011 (applicable to transactions made in this period)
Amount per transaction	More than JPY 3 million or equivalent with new money* (in a single transaction; not the combined total of two or more transactions)
Eligible transactions	Chinese Yuan Deposits (Savings / Time Deposits), and other China related products**
Available at	HSBC Premier Branches / HSBC Premier Call Centre (some transactions are available only at HSBC Premier Branches)
Gift 1	Round-trip air tickets (for one person) from Tokyo (Narita) to Shanghai, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, to 10 winners selected in a monthly draw, totaling 20 winners, from among eligible customers who satisfy the terms and conditions of this campaign.
Gift 2	JTB travel coupons (worth JPY 10,000) to 20 winners selected in a monthly draw, totaling 40 winners, from among eligible customers who have not won an air ticket in the draw.

New money : The fund that is deposited into HSBC Premier Account on or after 1-Mar 2011. Calculation method is as follows. <Total deposited amount, in the Savings Account and/or the Multi Currency Savings Account,during the period from 1 March 2011 to the time of application for campaign products, MINUS the total debited / withdrawn amount, from such Account(s) during such period equals to or is more than JPY 3 million or equivalent.>

Important notes of the campaign

This campaign is only available for individual customers aged 20 or over who have a registered address in Japan.

Entry for the draw for this campaign is limited to one time per month for each customer.

The application for this campaign will be closed at the end of each month and the draw will be held in the middle of the following month. HSBC Premier will notify the winners of air tickets individually by the end of the month after the transaction has occurred. We will send JTB travel coupons to the winners by mail to their registered addresses in Japan at the end of the following month.

Gifts can be received only once per customer throughout the campaign period. Please note that HSBC Premier cannot answer any inquiries about the results of the draws.

The deadline time for the transaction varies depending on the transaction. Please feel free to contact your relationship manager if you have any inquiries about the details of the campaign.

HSBC Group staff cannot apply for this campaign.

Notes concerning the gift of air tickets

The winners of the draw can select round-trip air tickets to one of the three destinations (Shanghai, Hong Kong, or Taiwan).

Only the winner of the draw may use the air tickets. Tickets are non transferable or redeemable for cash.

For details of the terms and conditions of travel, please refer to the documents we will send to the winners.

Please note that the winning right is only valid for customers who maintain accounts with the HSBC Premier at the time when we notify the winners.

The gift of air tickets does not cover the passenger service facility charge, passenger security service charge, airport tax, insurance surcharge, and fuel surcharge. Winners will be notified of the details separately.

Air tickets given as a gift are for ANA's economy seats. The air tickets will be valid for flights returning to Japan by 31 December 2011, and they cannot be used between 29 April and 8 May, between 17 July and 31 August, between 17 September and 19 September, between 8 October and 10 October and on or after 23 December. In addition, flights departing on Saturdays and arriving on Sundays will be excluded. The designated travel agency (Kinki Nippon Tourist) will contact the winners after they have been notified of their win and ask them their desired destination and departure date to make flight arrangements.

Please note that flights cannot be changed or cancelled.

Requests for a specific flight date may not be met depending on seat availability.

Customers will bear all the costs of travel such as transportation costs to the airport and accommodation fees excluding the cost of air tickets.

The point of departure and arrival of the flight is Narita Airport.

We may disclose your name, address and telephone number to Kinki Nippon Tourist so that arrangements for air tickets can be made.

Please contact the person in charge at Kinki Nippon Tourist within one month after you are notified of your win. Please note that your winning right may be cancelled if you cannot be reached within one month.

Important notes of CNY deposits

Foreign Currency Deposits carry foreign exchange fluctuation risks. Due to foreign exchange fluctuation, the actual yen equivalent amount received in foreign currency could be smaller than the original amount in yen at the time of foreign currency deposit contract (i.e. there is a risk of loss of principal on a yen basis).

Please note that the CNY is a currency subject to exchange control. There is a risk that the exchange rate may fluctuate considerably due to the currency policy of the Chinese government or changes in the economic and political environment. It is also possible that, depending on the situation, exchanging the CNY to another currency may not be allowed.

If you convert yen into CNY at the time of deposit, or CNY into yen at the time of withdrawal, a one-way foreign currency exchange fee is levied (0.18 yen per 1 CNY at maximum).

Cancellation of CNY time deposits before maturity is not allowed.

Certain restrictions on CNY transactions will apply. For example, there are limitations to transaction amount and CNY remittance. Deposits in HSBC are not covered by Japan's Deposit Insurance scheme.

HSBC Premier Eligibility Requirement

Our "Premier in One, Premier in All" philosophy allows you to choose where you want to qualify for HSBC Premier, whether in Japan or in another country overseas. Once you qualify in one country, you can open a local HSBC Premier Account in all overseas HSBC Premier countries without meeting the local HSBC Premier qualification criteria (subject to local banking regulations). If you decide to qualify for HSBC Premier in Japan, you need to maintain a monthly average balance with HSBC Premier Japan of JPY 10 million or equivalent in deposits / investments / insurance. In principle, if the monthly average balance requirements are not met in the previous month, a monthly below balance fee of JPY 5,000 inclusive of tax will be charged and service offerings may be restricted.
